David Roddy has signed with Hapoel Jerusalem Basketball Club in the Israeli Basketball Premier League, ending his stint with the Denver Nuggets.
The former Colorado State star forward, who won't be back with the Nuggets for the start of the 2026-27 season, joins the Israeli team after a strong showing with Denver late last season. Roddy, a first-round NBA pick out of CSU in 2022, spent most of the 2025-26 season with the Raptors 905 of the G League.
He caught the eye of Nuggets coaches with his performances in the final games of the regular season, scoring 21 points with two rebounds and two steals in a win over the defending champion Thunder. Roddy also had 15 points and 13 rebounds in the regular-season finale against the Spurs, securing a 128-118 win and the No. 3 seed for the Nuggets.
For his NBA career, Roddy has played 173 games and is averaging 6.3 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. The former Mountain West Player of the Year has appeared in NBA games for six different teams.
Roddy's departure from the Nuggets comes as the team faces a numbers crunch salary-wise. He signed with the Nuggets in March but did not land a new contract in the offseason.
The Israeli Basketball Premier League is a competitive league with top teams competing in Europe. Hapoel Jerusalem Basketball Club is one of the top teams in the league.
The move to Israel marks a significant change in Roddy's career, and it remains to be seen how he will adapt to the new league and team. Roddy's experience playing in the G League and his performances with the Nuggets suggest he will be a valuable addition to the Hapoel Jerusalem roster.
With the start of the new season approaching, Roddy will look to make an impact in the Israeli league. The Hapoel Jerusalem team will likely rely on him to provide scoring and rebounding support.
