12-Year-Old Basketball Twins Cause a Stir in Local Division I Hopes

Fraternal twins Iman and Jihan Qamhiyeh have already received six Division I college basketball offers, a feat that's left many in the basketball community stunned.

They will join Buchanan High School as freshmen this fall and are expected to play varsity basketball during the winter season under head coach Adam Wall. The twins' impressive recruitment is a testament to their dedication and hard work on the court. They have spent years competing in travel basketball, participating in twice-daily workouts and training in high-level practices.

The twins, both 6-foot-1, have stood out against top competition, often dominating games and earning a reputation as a formidable force. "Yeah, the word's getting out about their game and how they play," Wall said. Their success has not gone unnoticed, with college coaches and fans alike taking notice of their skills.

Iman and Jihan have embraced being recruited together, describing themselves as a "package deal" when talking with Division I coaches. They believe that by working together, they can bring a unique dynamic to any team. "They're gonna get the whole package if they get both of us," Jihan said. "If they need a post player, one of us can play. If they need someone outside, one of us can play it."

The twins' dedication to their craft is evident in their daily routine, which includes twice-daily workouts and high-level practices. This level of commitment has paid off, with the twins often finding themselves in situations where they are the only ones who can keep up with their opponents. "We would play against people and like the competition would be so easy we'd be like blowing everyone out and then like we would have a name for ourselves we would be like 'Oh the twins are playing,'" Jihan said.

As they prepare to begin their high school careers, Iman and Jihan are focused on taking their game to the next level. They are eager to work with Coach Wall and their new teammates to achieve success on the court. "They concentrate on the work they put in every day," Wall said. "I'm going to be honest with you, the sky is the limit with these two girls."

The twins' success has already sparked excitement in the local basketball community, with many fans eagerly anticipating their high school debut. As they take to the court for the first time, all eyes will be on Iman and Jihan to see if they can live up to the hype. They will play their first game for Buchanan High School in the winter season, with many expecting them to make a significant impact.
