World Crown 300 at Cordele will crown ASA Southern Super Series champion and historic winner this Saturday

The World Crown 300 returns to Cordele Motor Speedway this Saturday, October 24, carrying more than just a race win. For the first time since its revival, the event will also decide the ASA Southern Super Series championship, setting the stage for a weekend that could end with two celebrations in victory lane.

Spencer Davis leads the championship standings heading into the 300-lap feature with a 35-point advantage over Matt Craig and a 41-point cushion over Bubba Pollard. The title remains undecided, meaning that the outcome of Saturday’s race could crown the series champion while also determining the World Crown 300 winner.

Stephen Nasse arrives at Cordele with an opportunity to join an exclusive list of drivers. A win would make him just the second driver, after Chase Elliott, to claim all four major Super Late Model crown jewels: the Snowball Derby, Winchester 400, All American 400, and now the World Crown 300.

Bubba Pollard, despite his strong performances in previous World Crown events, has yet to claim a victory in this race. The Georgia native has led 277 laps in past attempts but has never crossed the finish line first. This weekend offers him a chance to end that streak on home soil.

Adding to the story is 14-year-old Keelan Harvick, making his World Crown debut after a promising fifth-place finish in his first Southern Super Series start last month. His presence signals a new generation stepping up in the Super Late Model ranks.

The World Crown 300 has a history dating back to 1983 but disappeared after Gresham Motorsports Park closed in 2014. It returned to the racing calendar last year at Cordele, where Michael Hinde and Jake Garcia took the checkered flags in the two editions held so far.

Saturday’s race could deliver a first-time series champion in Spencer Davis, a breakthrough win for Pollard, or a historic achievement for Nasse. The World Crown 300 has never carried so much at stake, and all eyes will be on Cordele as the drivers race toward the finish line.
