The Savannah Bananas will host the Banana Ball Championship, known as the Banana Bowl, at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on September 25, 2027. The team announced the event on October 15, confirming a return to the city where they have played at Nissan Stadium in 2025 and First Horizon Park in June 2026.
Banana Ball is a reimagined version of baseball with a faster pace and unconventional rules. Games last two hours, with innings—not runs—deciding the winner. Walks have been eliminated, and a foul ball caught by a fan counts as an out. The Bananas encourage fan interaction, dance routines, and trick plays, blurring the line between sport and entertainment.
The 2027 schedule also includes stops in Knoxville and Memphis. Earlier in the season, the Indianapolis Clowns and the Tailgaters will play on June 4-5 at Covenant Health Park, while the Party Animals and the Clowns are set for April 2-3 at AutoZone Park.
Tickets for the Banana Bowl will be distributed through a lottery system rather than a traditional public sale. Fans can enter the lottery for free via the Bananas’ official website during the registration period, which closes at midnight on October 31, 2026. Early entry does not increase the chance of selection. Winners will receive an invitation to purchase up to five tickets during a designated sales window.
The Bananas are known for creating an atmosphere that goes beyond the typical baseball game. Players often arrive hours ahead of the first pitch to mingle with fans, sign autographs, and perform choreographed dances. Pitchers sometimes join the crowd after their time on the mound, adding to the interactive experience.
Nashville’s Nissan Stadium, home to the Tennessee Titans, will host this major event, reflecting the city’s growing role in the Bananas’ expanding tour. The team’s presence in Tennessee has become a regular fixture, adding to the local sports calendar with their unique blend of baseball and entertainment.
The ticket lottery remains open as of now, with fans encouraged to register promptly for a chance to witness the Banana Bowl live at Nissan Stadium in 2027.
