Cooper Flagg has reported another growth spurt, now measuring 6-foot-10.5 in shoes as he prepares for his second NBA season with the Dallas Mavericks. The 21-year-old forward updated his height on social media Wednesday, adding a quarter-inch since his last announcement earlier this offseason.
Flagg had previously confirmed growing from 6-foot-9 to 6-foot-10, while dismissing rumors that he had reached 6-foot-11. His latest statement, shared by Ron Harrod Jr. of DLLS Mavs on X, now places him at 6-foot-10.5. “I think I’ve actually grown another quarter of an inch since then,” Flagg said. “I’m 6′ 10.5 now, I would say with my shoes.”
The Mavericks selected Flagg with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. His rookie campaign established him as one of the franchise’s foundational players. Over 70 games, he averaged 21.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, playing 33.5 minutes on average. He shot 46.8% from the field and 29.5% from beyond the arc.
Flagg’s additional height could increase his versatility, providing Dallas with more options on both offense and defense. His unique blend of size and skill already allows him to contribute across multiple positions. The Mavericks enter the 2026-27 season looking to rebound after finishing last year with a 26-56 record, placing 12th in the Western Conference.
Dallas has reshaped its roster and coaching staff around Flagg as it aims to return to playoff contention. While his exact height continues to spark discussion, Flagg’s focus remains on growth and development. His latest measurement adds another layer of intrigue as the Mavericks build around their young star.
